A shoot normally lasts 1 1/2 -3 hours, though I think it's important for both parties not to impose a time limit... clock watching doesn't make for great photographs! I can work with either natural light or studio lighting - depending on the look required, I have a small studio set up in my home which allows me to be a bit more creative light wise. I normally take between 100 and 200 photographs. From that initial set of images, at least 20 (sometimes more) are selected to be finished to a high standard in Photoshop. This last stage is very important as the files straight from the camera are not finished photographs. Some people like to take part in selecting the final photographs, others don't... it's entirely up to you.

If I'm doing a shoot for you own private use, there are some things you might like to think about beforehand. For example, what kind of mood are you going for...? thoughtful, sexy, cheerful, dark and moody, etc. And what kind of look...? colour, black and white or something a little more funky. You also need to think about how many clothes you will or will not remove, as the case may be. This is entirely up to you, but it saves embarrassment if I know in advance. That way we both know what to expect.

You also need to think about what clothes you want to wear. Obviously you should be wearing clothes you feel comfortable in, but I would suggest going for something plain. It is a good idea to bring some alternatives, for example something both dark and light. If you want to do some underwear shots then you need to give some careful thought to that as well.
